Mr. Herbert Lewis "Peter" Byrd

Mr. Herbert Lewis "Peter" Byrd, 55 was born to the parentage of the late Mr. Herbert Eugene Byrd and Mrs. Bernice McTier Byrd in Baxley (Appling County) Georgia on January 10, 1960. Mr. Byrd transitioned from earth to eternity on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at his Lewis Sead Road residence surrounded by his loving wife of fifteen (15) years, Mrs. Stephanie Byrd. Peter received his formal education from the Appling County School System. He was a 1977 graduate from the Appling County Comprehensive High School. Herbert was a devoted member of Rachel Missionary Baptist Church. While attending RMBC Herbert held various positions in the church such as: Sunday School teacher, Usher and a member of the Senior Choir. He was employed as a tire mechanic at Collins and Sons Tire Company in Baxley, GA. until his health left him unable to fulfill those duties. In addition to his parents Herbert was preceded in death by his brother, Wilma McTier. Bro. Byrd leaves to cherish his precious memories: a loving wife, Stephanie; six children: Rasta Roberts, Baxley, GA., Alonzo Roberts, Valdosta, GA., Danielle Roberts, Atlanta, GA., Sherrell Banfield, Atlanta, GA., Tyree McCall and Adrien McCall both of Baxley, GA. Father-In-Law: Richard McCall and Mother-In-Law; Sarah McCall. Sisters: Vivian Richardson, Jean Etta Byrd, Maudell (Richard) Rogers, Olivette (Johnny B) Williams, Patricia Byrd and Mittie (Ellis) Dickerson all of Baxley, GA. and Ruby Bayne of Hephzibah, GA. Brothers: Vernon Byrd, Alvin (Tonya) Byrd, Randall Byrd, Sr. all of Baxley, GA., Stanford (Tammy) Byrd of Atlanta, GA. and Kenny (Teresa) Byrd of Hazlehurst GA. Sister-in-laws: Terrilyn (Sherman) Thomas and Sonya (Lazaro) Cardoza. Brother-in-laws: Reginald (April) Fedrick, Jeffrey (Pam) Fedrick and Stanley (Laurie) McCall. Two very special friends: Clifford McTier, Ronald Ryals and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
