Mr. Ronald "Big John" Roberts, Sr

Mr. Ronald "Big John" Roberts, Sr. was born on November 7, 1951 in Surrency, Georgia to the late Mrs. Lelia Mae Mobley Roberts and his adoptive father Mr. Issac Ogden. Ronald passed this earthly world on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Appling Healthcare System in Baxley, Georgia surrounded by his loving family and dear friends. He will always be remembered for his special smile, his caring heart and love for his family. Ronald will always be remembered as being honest and loyal. He had a wonderful sense of humor, his laughter would fill a room. "Big John" was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Ms. Sheriley Pete. He was employed for twenty-eight years by Adcock's Logistics and two years with Murray's Logistics. "Big John" was also one of the first employee of Alderman Bus Tours. Ronald leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife: Laura Jean Gibbs Roberts of Surrency, GA; children: Ronald (Teresa) Roberts,Jr. of Baxley, GA; Dennis Bell of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Jessica (Stevphone) Roberts of Surrency, GA and Byron Williams of Hinesville, GA. Sisters: Jeanette (Carroll, Sr.) Powell and Reita Mobley both of Jesup, GA. Brothers: Leroy (Patrica) Roberts of Delaware and Alfred Mobley of Jesup, GA. Uncle: Andrew Roberts of Belle Glade, FL. Brother-in-Law: Adolph (Rose) Gibbs of Sarasota, FL. Six (6) Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends including: John Richburg, Robert Sherrod, Prentiss Shellman and Milus Burkett of Surrency, GA.
