Mrs. Shirley Pearl Clemmons King, 67 was born to the parentage of the late Mr. Hosea Clemmons and Mrs. Lucille Smith Clemmons in Jesup (Wayne County) Georgia on January 12, 1947. Mrs. King transitioned from earth to eternity on Sunday, May 11, 2014 (Mother's Day) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Abigail Bryant in Bristol, Georgia surrounded by her loving and caring family. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Ike King. Mrs. King was educated in the Clinch County School System in Homerville, GA. She was employed for a number of years at the Appling County Library in Baxley, GA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by a daughter, Pearlie Mae Harrell; son, Christopher Yarbrough; granddaughter, JaTia McCall and grandson, Brandon Clemons. Grandparents: Homer and Lucille Graham Smith. Aunts and Uncles: James (Ruth Lee) Johnson and Ben (Mary) Freeman. Sis. Shirley Pearl Clemmons King leaves to cherish her beautiful memories five (5) daughters: Rose Mary Clemmons of Jesup, GA, Molly (Vinson) Merritt of Jesup, GA, Patricia Horne of Bear, Delaware, Dorothy Yarbrough of Baxley, GA and Abigail (Robert, Sr.) Bryant of Bristol, GA. Four (4) sons: Walter L. (Geannett) Edwards of Jacksonville, FL, James M. Harrell of Baxley, GA, Carlos Yarbrough of Baxley, GA and Deryl Edwards of Baxley, GA. Thirty-three (33) Grandchildren, twenty (20) Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Very special friends of the family: Willie B. Lloyd of Baxley, GA, Queen Kitchen of Baxley, GA, Glenda Young and Omilee Edwards both of Homerville, GA. Special nieces and nephews: Emma Pearl Johnson, Harl Johnson, Carl Johnson and Michael Green, .
