Mrs. Tommie Lee Ogden, 91, had her transition on Monday, May 19, 2014 at her residence in Baxley, GA surrounded by her loving family under the professional care of Comfort Care Hospice. Funeral service for Mrs. Tommie Lee Ogden will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Thankful New Jersey Baptist Church located 644 North Main Street, Baxley, GA. Interment: Rachel Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held 7:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, May 23, 2014 in The Adams Chapel. Tommie Lee Staten Ogden was born on January 30, 1923 to the late Bismarck Staten and Ulla Haynes. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Alvin Ogden in April 1943, who preceded her in death on May 23, 1998. To that union, seven children were born. Tommie Lee Ogden departed to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday May 19, 2014. She leaves to cherish her memories: Areatha (B.J.) Virgil of Baxley, Ga.; Blondell (Joey-Deceased)Webb of Baxley, Ga.; Eddie (Lois) Ogden of Pooler, Ga. Claudette(Wilson)Scott of Pooler, Ga.; Ervin(Assunta)Ogden of Midway, Ga.; Turner(Ann)Ogden of Baxley, Ga.; Alfred(Patricia)Ogden of Pooler, Ga.; and one sister Mrs. Oma Brown of Savannah, Ga.; Nineteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grand; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
