MR. RODNEY "HOT ROD" OGDEN
FUNERAL SERVICES for Mr. Rodney LaForrest Ogden, 41 will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Rachel Missionary Baptist Church located at 6407 Highway 144 NE in Baxley, Georgia at 11:00 AM.
PUBLIC VIEWING will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the C.M. Brown Funeral Home Chapel located at 26 Northside Street, Baxley from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
Mr. Rodney LaForrest Ogden was born on April 11, 1975 in Baxley, Georgia to Ms. Susan Ogden Hill and Mr. Hugh (Angelia) Atkins. Rodney passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in the Christus Hospital - St. Elizabeth, Beaumont, Texas.
Rodney joined the Rachel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age under Pastor D. E. Kelly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Deacon Ealie and Delia Ogden; Aunt: Debra Jean Ogden. Rodney graduated from the Appling County High School and attended Technical school to attain his Commercial Drivers' Certification (CDL). He was employed by D.M. Bowman, Inc. as a commercial carrier.
Rodney was married to the love of his life, Mrs. Lorecia Lankford Ogden of Augusta, Georgia.
In addition to his parents and lovely wife Rodney is survived by: Children: Angel Lankford, Jykera Lankford and Destiny Bryant all of Augusta, Georgia.
Sisters: Kim Hill of Augusta, GA., Latoya Hill of Greenwood, S.C. and Delivia Atkins of Atlanta, GA.
Brothers: Devoted Brother Stacey (Sara) Ogden, Cederick Hill both of Augusta, GA. and Jermaine Jones of McCormick, S.C.
Father and Mother-in-Law: Lillian and Sam Fulford of Augusta, GA. Sister-in-Law: Carleen Lankford of Augusta, GA. Brothers-in-Law: Maurice Lankford of Augusta, GA. and David (Paula) Lankford of Atlanta, GA.
Aunts: Martha (Melvin) Simmons of Savannah, GA. and Marsha Ogden of Atlanta, GA.
Uncles: Joseph (Mary) Ogden of Brunswick, GA., Campbell (Joeann) Ogden of St. Louis, MO., Freddie (Latrelle) Ogden and Kenneth Ogden both of Baxley, GA.
Rodney is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews (including three special nephews: Jarius, Jaiden, Justin Ogden and great nephew: Jamar Lundy), cousins and sorrowing friends (including special friends: Moses Cray of Atlanta, GA., Thaddaeus Harris and Fredrick Hill both of Augusta, GA.
